Bluebells in Bloom! by Gillian

Another update for you guys, we had a fantastic 'last day' in the woods today!

Challenges, group work, catching up after Easter and finishing off nicely with sausages cooked on our own fire!!

The bluebells were out in all their glory, creating a beautiful and magical carpet in certain areas of the woods.
I did a quick, informal inspection of some bluebells in different areas and found all white anthers again, adding to my delight that the Spanish and hybrid bluebells  have hopefully not established themselves in Seeley Copse! Let's hope it remains this way.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful British bluebells for you to enjoy!

Yay I'm glad you were able to access the blog.. Today was a fantastic end to such an educational and rewarding module. It's certainly true what they say about taking learning outside of the classroom. The bluebells were beautiful. The difference to the woodlands from two weeks ago was evident for all to appreciate, and the hot dogs and onions certainly went down a treat! I shall miss these days in the woods but remember them fondly.. I have taken loads from this experience and cannot wait to introduce my son to all of the concepts and activities we have been introduced to.

  2. Me too Vicky, also during placement we can take our idea to our schools. Wouldn't it be a fun and exciting way to teach. The children will certainly love ,it just like we did!
